The Archangel Gabriel is known as the patron of communications, since he was the one to announce her miraculous motherhood to the Virgin Mary. Thus in this FuturIkon, Archangel Gabriel is the patron of computer communications. The Archangel bears computer chips on his/her robe, and holds a fiberoptic cable in his/her hands. The cable is bent around in the form of a horn, another of Gabriel's traditional attributes. In the background a cloud of linked stars symbolizes the Internet. The blue color and "wavy" wings of the Angel symbolize Water, which is the element ruled by Gabriel. In the border, stylized fountains on the sides accompany abstract images of radio towers, satellite dishes, and "lightning-like" radio waves. In the upper corners of the border are silver crescents, the Western esoteric symbol for Water.
